Vitek Vašků was born circa 1550 at Trhonice, Polička, Bohemia, Austria.2 He was the son of Václav (NoSurname). He died circa 1593 at Trhonice, Polička, Bohemia, Austria.2
     Vitek's occupation: Farmer.
Biography of Vitek Vašků:

The name Vitek Vašku of this biography is based on a 1575 land record in the Town of Policá Land Books. That record shows Vítek Vašk? inheriting the leasehold of his Fathers farm in Trhonice. The farm was worth 200 kopecs and the declaration indicates that Vítek must pay first his brother Burian, 4 kopecs a year until Burian’s 26 kopec share of the farm is paid and then pay Markétě, (presumably his sister) 4 kopecs a year until her 26 kopec share of the farm is paid in full. This same record shows that each year Vitek paid 4 kopecs to Burian and Markétě until 1589 when ownership passed fully to Vítek. The payment in the summer of 1583 shows that Jan of Bystřice recieved 2 kopecs that was due his wife, Markétě. This suggests that Markétě had married Jan of Bystřice about 1583.

The next record of this family is from the Policka Land Books is a 1593 declaration of inheritance and lease ownership found in the Policá Land Books. Based on this 1593 declaration it appears that Vítel had died leaving orphan children, Jan, Anna and Peter.

     Biography of Václav (NoSurname):

The name Václav (of Trhonice) of this biography is based on the earliest record of our Burval Ancestors we are aware of. The record is a 1575 Declaration of inheritance and land lease title found in the Town of Polická Land Books. This record shows Vítek Vašk? of Trhonice inheriting the leasehold of the farm of his Father, Václav. (Prior to 1600, surnames were not used)

Václav was likely born about 1525 in Trhonice and died there about 1575 based on the date of the declaration.

We will show under the biography of Jan Buřval (1570- ) that Jan Buřval (1570- ) is the son of Vitek Vašk? and grandson of Václav. Jan Buřval is also the first to use the Buřval surname when surnames came into use in the early 1600’s. Václav's occupation: Farmer.
