He married Marie Catharina Raber, daughter of Theodoricus Raber and Catherine (--?--), on 22 November 1717 at SS Conelius and Cyprian Catholic Church, Biberach, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.¹ He died on 19 January 1764 at Biberach, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.²
     Biography of Joannes Michael Halter:

The extant church records from Biberbach and Kirchhausen show the progenitor of the Halter Family of Wurttemberg, Poland and Ohio to be Joannis Michaelis Halter (1697-1764) and his second wife, Maria Katharina Raber. Joannis Michaelis is his name in Latin, which would be John Michael in English. We know he married twice and had 12 children, ten male and two female. Likely he was a farmer, as the area was noted and valued for its crop production as well as its vineyards.

     Marie Catharina Raber was christened on 3 April 1698 at Biberach, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Theodoricus Raber and Catherine (--?--). She married Joannes Michael Halter, son of Andreas Halter and Margaretha (--?--), on 22 November 1717 at SS Conelius and Cyprian Catholic Church, Biberach, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.¹

     Joannes Leonardus Halter was the son of Joannes Michael Halter and Marie Catharina Raber. He married Catharina Germaenn, daughter of Joannis Georgii Germaenn and Mariae Annae (--?--), on 20 November 1747 at Kirchhausen, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.¹
     Biography of Joannes Leonardus Halter:

Joannes Halter (1723- ) is the third son of Joannis Michaelis Halter (1790- ) and his wife, Catharinae. Joannes’s 1747 marriage to Catharina Germaenn (1725- ) was recorded in the records of the Catholic Church in Kirchhausen. This suggests that Catharina was from Kirchhausen as marriage usually took place in the home church of the bride. All the births of the children of Joannes and Catharina are recorded in the Catholic Church of Kirchhausen. Thus by 1847 the Catholic Church in Kirchhausen became the home church for this Halter family line. The villages of Biberbach and Kirchhausen are located about 1 mile apart and from records we have viewed all Halter’s born in the 1700’s were christened in Biberbach, except for the descendants of Joannes and Catharina who were christened in Kirchhausen.
Joannes and Catharina has seven male children all christened in Kirchhausen.

     Catharina Germaenn was the daughter of Joannis Georgii Germaenn and Mariae Annae (--?--). She married Joannes Leonardus Halter, son of Joannes Michael Halter and Marie Catharina Raber, on 20 November 1747 at Kirchhausen, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.¹

     Mariae Annae (--?--) married Joannis Georgii Germaenn.

     Joannes Leonardus Halter was the son of Joannes Leonardus Halter and Catharina Germaenn.

     Joannes Michael Halter was the son of Joannes Leonardus Halter and Catharina Germaenn. He married Elisabetha Phoh on 24 November 1778 at Biberach, Heilbronn, Württemberg, Germany.¹
