Bradley Scott Long

     Bradley Scott Long was the son of Bradley Sampson Long and Thyra Ethel Scott. Bradley died on 23 April 1944 at Hawaii, United States, at age 21. His body was buried on 30 October 1947 at Barrancas National Cemetery.
     Biography of Bradley Scott Long:

Bradley Scott Long (nicknamed Nick by his stepfather Mr. Wells). He died in April l944 while on military duty in Hawaii but was not actually killed in combat. It was a vehicle accident. Afterwards his mother purchased a war bond and had a plane named in his honor. [Chris Long Henson, grandaughter of Thyra Scott]

     Herlihy Townsend Long was the son of Bradley Sampson Long and Thyra Ethel Scott. Herlihy died on 27 January 1968 at Vietnam at age 43.1
     Biography of Herlihy Townsend Long:

Herlihy Townsend Long (nicknamed Man by his family members for Daddy's little man, and nicknamed Jack by those who knew him after WWII)--born March 15, 1924--enlisted in WWII at the age of 16, stationed at Ft. Jackson, S.C., served all through WWII in Europe where he received a battlefield commission. Got out of service for a short time and married Joyce Namie. Rejoined the Army. They had 2 sons, Richard and Robert. They were divorced when he was sent to Korea and the boys stayed in Macon with their mother and grandparents. He then met Eilene Christensen in Japan and they married in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas in 1958. My father was killed January 27, 1968, while in Vietnam. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetary.
