     Biography of Samuel A. Huggins:

Sam purchased a tract of land located on the West side of Lindsey Bridge Road just north of the current home of Glenn Huggins. He homesteaded the following 160 acres- S28 T4 R16 - in 1892. Some of the land would include a portion of the present-day Poseyville. Further out this road is the Five Runs Cemetery where Sam and his wife are buried in unmarked graves. [Rebecca Burns]

     Edmond Elbert Huggins was the son of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins. He married Essie Bardin.¹ Edmond died on 9 March 1953 at age 70.

     She married Samuel Dewitt Huggins, son of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins.¹

     Flossie H. Huggins was the daughter of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins. She married Justice Lamar Stokes.¹ Flossie died in 1972.

     Henry Houston Huggins was the son of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins. He married Fronnie Thomas. Henry died on 6 October 1948 at age 58.

     Samuel Dewitt Huggins was the son of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins. He married Martha Vera Garrett.¹ Samuel died in 1959.

     Cornelia Ada Huggins was the daughter of Samuel A. Huggins and Nancy Ann Tompkins. She married Lawrence Lindsey, on 22 November 1899 at Covington, Alabama, United States.¹ Cornelia died in 1940 at Greenwood.

     He married Eliza Tompkins, daughter of Edwin W. Tompkins and Lucinda Randolph, in 1890.¹ Emmanuel died on 11 April 1935 at Covington, Alabama, United States.
