[The Stewarts and Allied Famlies by JamesD.Stewart, 1988.] Also, lists son Wyent Gyger b. abt 1718? The State Newspaper April 13, 1958, "Under the Village of Wydnau Family No.15, is entered: The following moved to Carolina in Sept. 1736 . Hans Jacob Gyger, former Cantonal Governor, born July, 1679, 'Whom one could not sufficently honor' Margareta Ferrin,
his wife, born 1664; children: Catherina, born 15 November, 1711, Hans Heinrich, born 12 August, 1713, Maria Barbara, born 24 February, 1715, Hans Jacob, born 24 April, 1718, Margareta, born 24 April, 1724. Married son: Herman Geiger, born 18 December, 1707, married 26 February 1734, Elizabeth Habluzel, born 25 December, 1711. Children: Catherina, born 1734, Hans Conrad, born 1736." Pastor Bartholomew Zuberbuehler of Teuffen and about one hundred ninety-two persons set out for South Carolina and according to John Tobler's manuscripts, they sailed from Falmount December 5, 1736, and landed at Charles Town Feb. 1, 1737.
