Richard was born on 29 August 1840 at South Carolina, United States.1,2,3 He was the son of Ricahard Jackson and Jane (--?--). He married Mary Ann E. Donaldson, daughter of Joseph S. Donaldson and Nancy K. Beard, circa 1871 at Alabama, United States. He married Amanda Kirby, on 22 July 1883.4 He married Mary A. McDowell, on 18 March 1888 at Taylor, Florida, United States.5 Richard died on 18 October 1893 at Taylor, Florida, United States, at age 53.6 His body was buried in October 1893 at Spring Warrior Church of Christ Cemetery, Taylor, Florida, United States.7

However, the 1850 Census of Barnwell Co. SC show Richard as age 10 suggesting he was born 1840.The 1860 Census shows age18 suggesting he was born 1842. She married Thomas Solomon Brannan, son of William Francis Brannan and Mary Ann Curl, on 7 December 1894 at Suwannee, Florida, United States.1 Mary died on 30 January 1974 at Winter Haven, Polk, Florida, United States, at age 94. Her body was buried at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery, Winter Haven, Polk, Florida, United States.
