He married Margaret Houston, on 19 December 1904 at Early, Georgia, United States.¹ He married Catherine Elizabeth Everett, on 9 September 1923 at Miller, Georgia, United States.² Joseph died on 30 March 1936 at Dothan, Houston, Alabama, United States, at age 49. The burial plot of Joseph Clarence Sheffield, 1st wife, Margaret Houston Sheffield, and 2nd wife Catherine Everett Sheffield and baby was refurbished and brought up to date with new granite coping, gravel filled and new headstones erected in 1996. Clarence and Margaret's daughter Ida Lois Sheffield Davis lovingly gave this as a tribute to the memory of her parents.

Sheffield and Margarett Ann Scott, on 19 December 1904 at Early, Georgia, United States.¹ Margaret died on 10 December 1921 at Colquitt, Miller, Georgia, United States, at age 33.      John C. Sheffield was the son of Joseph Clarence Sheffield and Margaret Houston. He married Duna Beth Davis, on 12 October 1935 at Colquitt, Miller, Georgia, United States.¹ John died on 14 January 1975 at Florida, United States, at age 61.      Waver Ruth Sheffield was the daughter of Joseph Clarence Sheffield and Margaret Houston. She married Walter Delane Mullins, in 1939 at Alabama, United States. Waver died on 18 October 1998 at Dothan, Houston, Alabama, United States, at age 83. Her body was buried at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery, Houston, Alabama, United States.¹

     Kalla Mae Sheffield was the daughter of Joseph Clarence Sheffield and Margaret Houston. She married Marion Platt Stein, on 17 May 1938 at Colquitt, Miller, Georgia, United States.¹ Kalla died on 8 September 1955 at Donalsonville, Seminole, Georgia, United States, at age 38. Her body was buried at Colquitt City Cemetery, Miller, Georgia, United States.

     Billy Mack Sheffield was the son of Joseph Clarence Sheffield and Margaret Houston. He married Willie Mae Nix, on 6 January 1939. He died on 18 January 2008 at Florida, United States, at age 86.
