"MAY, FLORENCE P., 100, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (June 23, 2005) at Bon Secours Maria Manor. She came here in 1929 from her native Live Oak. She was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School and retired as a public school teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg, and the Ladies Auxiliary National Letter Carriers Association 1477, St. Petersburg. Survivors include two sons, Paul, Clearwater, and Richard O., St. Petersburg; two daughters, Norma Eddins, Tampa, and Edna Firzlaff, Birmingham, Ala; a sister, Lou Tompkins, Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
