Hilda Barrington Brannon, age 94, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday

afternoon, May 9, 2011 at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

following a lengthy illness. The Mayo, Fla. native lived most of her life in

Mayo, Fla., before moving to Live Oak, Fla. in 2009. She was a homemaker and loved

working in her yard which was so beautiful it looked like something out of a

Southern Living magazine. She also loved to cook and always had plenty for

anyone who stopped by. One of her specialties was chicken and rice. Hilda was a

member of the Luraville Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Julian Brannon, son Donald Brannon and a

grandson, Jay Underwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Underwood, Jacksonville, Fla; one grandson,

Barry (Jodie) Underwood; three great-grandchildren, Luke Underwood, Wesley

Underwood and Kate Underwood.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 9 to 10 a.m.

with the services at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Luraville Baptist

Church with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the New

Harmony Methodist Church cemetery.
