Ima Carroll passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Consulate Nursing Home in Tallahassee where she was living along with her husband, Herman Carroll of 65 years, after she suffered from many broken bones. Ima and Herman were married in 1946 and moved to Suwannee County. She taught in a one room school house for about three years after which she went to work in Live Oak as a sales clerk for The Surprise Store until 1968. After that she worked at Gold Kist Poultry in Live Oak and retired at the age of 83. During these many years of working she also worked on the farm raising feeder pigs. She loved all the animals and had them named. She loved being on the outside by herself working in the fields and then in her yard after moving to Tallahassee in 2004. She was named "Farmer of the Week" in 1980 by the local paper and then followed with "Farmer of the Year" in Agriculture. She leaves a great legacy.

Ima was a loving and devoted wife, mother, & grandmother. She was preceded in death by three sisters (including her twin) and a grandson (Aaron Reed). She is survived by her husband: Herman, and two daughters: Betty Lou Morton (Ralph) of Lake City and Kathy Reed (John) of Tallahassee; three grandchildren: Carrie Lynn Park (Kelvin) of Lake City, Jason Reed (Pattie) of Tallahassee and Holly Reed-Tillman (Justin) of Tallahassee; eight great-grands: Daniel, Wes, John Aaron, Warren, Madison, Laramie, Caleb, and Cody; one great-great grand RJ. She will be missed greatly by many nieces and nephews along with very close friends, including Gerald and Janet Driggers (she called him a "son she never had"). Services for Mrs. Carroll were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2011 at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, Fla. Interment followed at Live Oak Cemetery.

Ina Caulk Pert, age 86, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 in Mayo.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Brewer Lake Baptist Church, Day, with burial to follow in the Day Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, December 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Brewer Lake Baptist Church, Day.

She was born in Lafayette County, where she was a life long resident. She was a school bus driver for 10 years, and volunteered for the Day Fire Department. She was a member of Brewer Lake Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter; Jo Ann Taylor of Tampa, two sisters; Joyce Folsom of Lake City, and Ima Carroll of Tallahassee. Three grandchildren: Kim Taylor of Dallas, TX, Thom Taylor or Tampa and Karen Parlapiano of Tampa. One Great granddaughter Piper Parlapiano, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Teford Pert. She was buried on 23 December 2006 at Day Cemetery, Lafayette, Florida, United States.

     Noah was born on 13 February 1891. He was the son of Noah E. Snipes and Josephine Collins. He married Beulah V. Caulk, daughter of Joseph Elias Caulk and Martha Mattie Evans, on 2 December 1917 at Lafayette, Florida, United States.² Noah died on 22 February 1959 at Lafayette, Florida, United States, at age 68. His body was buried in February 1959 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States.³

     Herman was born on 29 August 1918 at Suwannee, Florida, United States.¹ He was the son of Daniel Garrett Carroll and Rose Ella Hurst. Herman W. Carroll, 93, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 in Tallahassee, Fla. after a long illness. Mr. Carroll was a native of Live Oak, Fla., a farmer, retired from the state road department after 20 years, member of Mason Lodge #43 Barrett, Live Oak, Fla. and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters: Cathy (John) Reed of Tallahassee, Fla; Betty Lou (Ralph) Morton of Lake City, Fla. One sister: Adell Ross of Live Oak, Fla. Three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. Predeceased by grandson Aaoron Reed. Services for Mr. Carroll was held Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at 3 p.m. in Daniels Memorial Chapel in Live Oak, Fla. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery.      Charles was born on 14 February 1914. He was the son of William C. Pert and Della Luelvia Parker. He married Ina Caulk, daughter of Joseph Elias Caulk and Martha Mattie Evans, on 24 August 1938 at Gainesville, Alachua, Florida, United States.¹

     He married Josephine Collins.¹

     She married Noah E. Snipes.¹

     Randolph was born on 17 August 1918. He was the son of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk. Randolph died on 21 February 1967 at age 48. His body was buried in February 1967 at Bethel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lafayette, Florida, United States.²

     Vita was born on 30 December 1919 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States. She was the daughter of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk. She married Oliver Bell, son of Henry B. Bell and Eliza Elizabeth Singletary, on 21 August 1937.

     Clarence was born on 20 January 1920 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States. He was the son of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk. Clarence died on 22 April 1923 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States, at age 3. His body was buried in April 1923 at Day Cemetery, Lafayette, Florida, United States.²

     Donna was born on 27 October 1926 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States. She was the daughter of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk.

     Fred was born on 7 July 1929 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States. He was the son of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk.

     Oliver was born on 24 July 1915. He was the son of Henry B. Bell and Eliza Elizabeth Singletary. He married Vita Estelle Snipes, daughter of Noah Edgar Snipes and Beulah V. Caulk, on 21 August 1937. Oliver died on 10 June 1984 at age 68. His body was buried in June 1984 at Day, Lafayette, Florida, United States.
